- Tomorrow I will be spending my day working around the apartment. We had tenants move out last weekend, and new ones are moving in on the 15th. I anticipate that I'll only need to do some touch-up painting in the unit. I also need to install a thingie that will automatically close the main door to the common area. I've heard through the grapevine that people have been leaving it open, and I definitely don't need any birds, snakes, or rodents as tenants. I also need to measure the shed doors so I can start making new ones. Lots to do, not much time to do it.
- Sometime in the last month or two, our total retirement savings topped the $150,000 mark (Roth IRAs, my 401(k), Mr. Savvy's IRA from a former employer). I don't know how I missed it, but that's pretty exciting stuff.
- I've been playing with groups in Yodlee's MoneyCenter. They are pretty cool. So far I have a retirement group, a cash vs. credit card group (for tracking our progress in paying down our substantial 0% cc balance), a real estate equity group, and a stock group. I'm such a nerd.
- For anyone that wants a pregnancy update, I'm now in month 6 (the last month of the second trimester). We've had an ultrasound and the little ninja is doing all the things a six month old fetus should be doing - like jabbing me in the ribs, doing lunges on my bladder, and wrecking general havoc on my internal organs. I suppose this is mother nature's way of preparing me for what they will later do to our furniture :)

post a commentHi Savvy,
I don't think I've commented on your blog before, but I really enjoy it. And it's good to hear that your pregnancy is progressing well. Any chance on resurrecting the Baby on a Budget blog?
piannist- I can't believe you remember Baby on a Budget! I have thought about bringing it back, but I have no idea what I'd write about. Let me ponder and try to think of a couple first posts...
thanks!
savvy
It's funny that you want to fix the door because you want to keep out wildlife. That's so different than living in the city, where I get mad at the other tenants for leaving the doors to the common areas open because I'd rather not have any unwelcome _people_ letting themselves in...
Unwelcome people would be bad too :) We just haven't had that problem (yet). I can call the cops about unwelcome people... but we're on our own when it comes to snakes, bats, or mice.
Revisiting your blog after being out of touch for a long time and I am so happy to hear you're well into your pregnancy!
