While hanging clothes out this morning, I thought of yet another reason, just in case your case needs to be bolstered in the future:
Using your dryer is like paying for something when you can have it for free.
You'll come to feel like you are wasting money every time the dryer is running and it's not raining outside.
Yay! For your clothesline. Dryers are not that popular in my country. I can certainly afford one but I have no space to put it living in a two bedroom apartment. I always had a collapsible clothesline (it really is not a line:) and always used it inside of my apartment since I do not have a yard. It works just fine.
My friend did the clacs awhile back, but I think it was like $0.05/load. Not too bad.
