my insurance still sucks
| Aetna still won't pay for my ultrasound, despite THREE verbal confirmations that it was covered. I still refuse to pay for it myself, credit score be damned. I have my principles. They also lost one of my FSA claims. When I asked them if they provided confirmations upon receipt (our old FSA administrator did), they said that they do not. I am supposed to fax the forms in and call back 6-7 hours later to follow-up that they were received. Who has time for that? Oh wait, they are banking on no one having time to follow-up and not having to pay out for any claims. I also was filing a claim and needed help determining which form to use. I called customer service and was told "I think either form should work, but you can call back if you have problems". Thanks, that was helpful. I especially love how there call center is only open during business hours M-F, meaning I have to take time out of my work day to call them. Labels: Aetna |

post a commentAll part of the insurance business. They lie and manipulate and change proceedures just so they can delay $$$ out of pocket.
Sad thing is many folks, just let the money go and stop chasing. Keep going....only the strong get what they deserve!
have you tried calling their maternity management line? i've found those folks to be particularly helpful with these sorts of things... i think the number is 1-800-cradle1... good luck!
Aetna, I'm glad I met ya!
I'm so sorry for all your claims troubles. I am currently going through the same thing with my dental insurance. The company keeps rejecting claims that are clearly covered within the scope of my policy. They have also "lost" some of my claims. I don't see why its my responsibility to constantly make sure they are doing their job! Also, for health insurance, my fiance had so much trouble with Aetna PPO emergency room billing that we just switched to another insurance.
