more landlord fun

We have a former tenant who appears to have skipped out on their last utility payment. I still have some hope that they will pay as they've been in contact with the utility company. If they don't, we're on the hook for $280. It's not like them to not pay, and it seems that the utility company didn't send the bill to the correct address the first time. We'll see. We also had some frozen pipes (four to be exact) two weeks ago. $600. Not how I would choose to spend that much money, but nothing burst and the pipes are extremely well insulated now. Bonus points that we found a great plumber to add to our list (our usual one wasn't available). It is definitely time for some "quiet time" on the landlord front!
